I am pretty sure all of us have watched or seen an episode of the wonderful show “Boy Meets World”. I would go as far as saying it is one of the best shows ever made. It was the show of the 90’s. It is still played today on MTV and ABC Family. Many teens I know still watch it as well. With the news of “Girl Meets World” coming in the summer of 2014 to tv soon it is making “Boy Meets Worlds” more popular.
The audience that watches this show can relate to almost anyone who watches it–a kid, teen, parent, almost anyone. The show has a every kind of character, that anyone can relate to. The attractive smart girl, the boyfriend, the rebel friend who gets in trouble, the nerd, the teacher, the good parents, the troubled parents, the bother and sister, the roommate, and much much more.
Every event you can think of as a middle schooler, high school teen and college student happens in this show. It covers the meaning of life oh so well. From love, to hate, running away, getting jobs, failing classes and growing up. This show has thought me a lot about growing up even though it is an old show and is not real and never happened. Events that you wouldn’t even think of happened. Like a mom running away from her family and having to live with other people. Most people don’t have to go through that but some do. “Boy Meets World” didn’t just cover the teen love factor in 7 seasons. It covered life. Expectaly with all of Mr.Feeney’s life lessons.
From comedy to drama, serious to teaching, the show could cover many genre. The show could have you laughing in one episode and crying in the next. “Boy Meets World” is one of the best shows. Everyone can relate. And the show gave life lessons. It had meaning unlike the new 2013 disney shows. If we brought back shows like this one, we would have a better society.

Do you think “Girl Meets World” will be as great as “Boy Meets World” was? I agree, “Boy Meets World” was a great coming of age show that taught life lessons kids needed to hear! “Boy Meets World” was better than a lot of kids show today.
I honestly do not think “Girl Meets World” will be as good. This is because with all the new shows today, none of them are really go and don’t teach as many good leasons. Although, since it is a spin off and has some of the same actors I feel like it will be better then most of the new shows.
Seeing this reminded me of your post. I’m not sure what the audience is applauding for. Is it Samuel L. Jackson? Is it the art of poetry? Is it Boy Meets World? It is probably a combination. And although the “poetry” takes itself more seriously than it should (which I know is part of the shtick) it covers all of the Boy Meets World basics and hits upon the themes you mention. I’m not sure that the show would lead us to a better society, but it was at times both hard hitting and wholesome and offers lessons that we need to learn and / or be reminded of.
Since I don’t tend to watch T.V much except for on very rare occasions, I liked actually reading about what’s on the T.V, and what this show is about just in case someone ever talks to me about it. Since you wrote in such great detail about how this show has real life situations it sounds like a show that would be interesting to watch if ever I got time to watch T.V.
I love that you chose to write a piece on “Boy Meets World”. Growing up this was one of my favorite shows! From time to time I still watch it. This caught my eye because I was not expecting to see it. I am very curious to see “Girl Meets World” Great paper 🙂
Sam I did not think I could like you anymore than I already do. Then you drop this, this was one of the best shows known to mankind. I watched this show since I was a little kid and whenever I see reruns on the tv I get the biggest feeling of nostalgia I have ever had.
