Childhood Cancer Awareness

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the color that represents them is gold. This month is an opportunity for people to recognize children with cancer and show them you support them. This is a month dedicated to them, passed or living, its their month. Children with cancer need support year round, 24/7, they can not face this fight alone. This month gives people around the world to show their support, a chance for more then friends and family to show them they care. A simple post on facebook, twitter, or any social media gets talk going about childhood cancer. The more awareness and talk there is the more the kids see that they are not alone in this battle.

November is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, everybody knows that because football players wear pink, famous people all over the T.V wear pink, and we hear of celebrities donating big amounts of money to Breast Cancer Foundations.This is great awareness for Breast Cancer which they need, but do you ever see any football players wearing yellow, do you ever see gold all over the T.V? Although Childhood Cancer is very dear to many hearts it doesn’t always get the awareness it needs. Awareness leads to a cure, a cure leads to the defeat of childhood cancers, and the defeat leads to  many lives saved. Wear gold in September, donate money, spread the word, get involved,  and fight for a cure.
