Winter Activites

Every kid wants to have a fun time. I know when I was little, I can remember being bored a lot. Then you hear your mom or dad yelling at you saying “go find something to do” they don’t want you to just sit there all day long. Every parent does not want to pay an arm and a leg to give their kids something to do all the time. Some kids should be able to come up with things to do on their own, whether it’s at home or somewhere else. Kids have huge imaginations that they can utilize and some don’t. Just going outside to playing is something that is easy and fun to do. Not to mention, it’s free! Especially during the winter time, there is a lot more to do outside. Now not everyone is rich, so here is a few things that kids can do outside during the winter time that if free to little to no cost.

Sledding was probably one thing I can remember when I was a kid was something that I would do all the time during winter. The only thing that cost money is the sled if you don’t already have one. Sledding can be very fun. Just get a whole group of friends together and find the biggest hill around in the neighborhood and just spend hours sledding. Obviously there should probably be a parent present just for safety reasons, but other than that kids can mostly do this on their own. I remember one time spending all day outside going sledding and having so much fun.

Another thing that kids can do outside during the winter time is build snowmen, snow forts, or even make snow angles. This is all free as well, unless you buy a snowmen kit which has a scarf, pipe, fake carrots for the nose and other things as well. Those can be found cheap though at some stores. Children need to learn to play outside more, there is a lot to do out there especially during the winter time with all the snow.
