Here are some tips on hunting that I learned from my uncle when I was 12 years old. I remember going through the process of learning how to properly shoot a gun by taking the hunters safety course. The most important thing I learned from my uncle and the course was to never point a gun at another person. Another thing I remember about my uncle teaching me how to hunt was that I was stubborn and really did not have the patience to listen to everything he was saying. The best thing that happen to me while my uncle was trying to teach me how to hunt at 12 years old was watching him actually shoot a deer.
- Always make sure that you wear the appropriate clothing you do not want to be hunting in the cold without a jacket. The reason it is so important to have the right clothing is because you do not want to be stuck out in the woods with a t shirt on.
- What most people do not do enough when hunting is that it is very important to be as still and as quiet as possible. The reason it is key to be quiet as possible is because you do not want to scare the animal that you are hunting away.
- Some other suggestions that I would give you while you are hunting is to make sure to stop if you hear any noise. The reason for that is because there is a good chance that there is an animal near by. Make sure that you are following all the rules when handling a gun; it is not a toy.
- If you do not follow the rules while using a gun and get caught you could lose your privilege of being able to hunt for a while.
- If you are hunting alone purposely walk into an area with the wind at your back. The reason for this is to get the deer up and moving once you have done this go in a circle and do it again.
- When hunting make sure that you practice shooting in all directions from where a deer could appear. The reason for this is so your accurate because its possible you might only get one shot in on the dear and you want to hit it.
- Do not give up if you hit the deer but it does not die immediately. Make sure to follow the blood trail because there is a good chance it will bleed out and you will have yourself the deer that you just shot. In order to make sure the deer is dead do not just walk up to it throw a rock or something near it and wait to see if you see movement. If not then walk up to it.
The reason that these tips are so important to follow is because it can lead to a successful day of hunting and a safe environment. These tips can not only save you a lot of trouble but can make you become a better hunter as well. I think that listening to these tips will make you realize how serious hunting really is and not to take it for granted. The number one reason you should follow these tips is so that when you are hunting you are doing it properly and staying as safe as possible without getting in trouble. The most important thing you should learn from this is that hunting is not made for everyone, but following these tips can make you a successful hunter.
