Retread Conditioner by Lush

Product: Retread Conditioner by Lush

Price: $29.95 for 8.4oz at Lush

How long will it last?

  • This product if used every time you condition your hair it should last six months.

How to use:

  • make sure your hair is wet, but not completely soaked otherwise most of the product will be soaked up by water, and take however much you usually condition with of this product and comb through hair focusing on the ends, then rinse out (it can sit for a little while).

What does the product say that it is supposed to do?

  • the description on this product says that it is  serious conditioning for dry and frizzy hair and it is supposed to give hair the nutrients that it needs while hydrating it and giving it shine and bounce.

Reaction:

  • I went into the Lush store in the Portland mall and this product was recommended to me because I have curly hair, the sales woman said that it would be good for it. I then used this after I shampooed my hair and at first I wasn’t a big fan. It did not make my hair feel smooth and i t did not make it easier to comb, and then I remembered that the sales woman told my that it would not feel slippery and that it would not make my hair instantly smooth after leaving it on in the shower. I was still willing to give it a shot, I continued with the rest of my nightly routine and when I woke up in the morning my hair did not have as many fly always and it was not as frizzy.

I would recommend using this every time you condition your hair or possibly alternating with another conditioner to make this product last a little longer.

Bottom Line: I would recommend this to someone who does not have hair that gets knotted easily, this product does not really help with that.

I liked at some reviews online and I saw that you were right, this is a great product, but for people who have knotted hair, it can be a difficult product to use.

I know you said that you use the same amount that you would use of conditioner, but if you use too much will it make your hair greasy?

You said that this should last about six months but does that change if there is someone who has to use a large amount every time they condition their hair?

@vwright15 If you use a little too much through the length of your hair you should be fine, when I use a lot my hair never looks greasy but I also have very dry ends. When I condition my hair I normally start about 2-3 inches away from my scalp, so I am not 100 percent sure from personal experience but some of the other reviews that I read online said that it can make your scalp look greasy if you use a large amount just like any other conditioner.

@ahiggins I have a lot of hair so when I use conditioner I usually do use a lot, but if someone used an unusually large amount I imagine that it would run out more quickly.

I thought that this post was very informative and helpful! I wrote my posts about helpful hair products and tips as well, and I think that a review over a specific product was a great idea. Do you think that this is one of the best, for example in your top ten, of good products to use?
