Iced coffee or the devil? You decide.

Hot or iced? Some people can determine the answer to this question by the weather that day. But others, stick to one side. How do you decide which side you are on? Well, hot coffee and iced coffee are two VERY different drinks. Even if you get the same flavor when you get a hot coffee as when you get an iced coffee, it still just isn’t going to taste the same. Hot coffee has an entirely different taste and feel. But, if you become accustomed to that, chances are you won’t switch over to the good side, iced coffee.

Maine is pretty famous for people drinking iced coffee in sub-arctic weather. But our idea of too cold for iced coffee is probably a little bit different than the idea that people from the south might have about how cold is too cold for iced coffee. But then again, they probably wouldn’t swim in the ocean in Maine at the end of April.

Temperature is not the only thing that determines if you are going to drink hot coffee or iced coffee. Personally, I prefer iced coffee. Here is why: 1. Drinking hot coffee leaves this awful feeling in your mouth. 2. Drinking hot coffee raises your chance of having coffee breath. and 3. Its just not refreshing. If you’re thirsty, whether it be on a hot day or a cold day, is a hot drink really going to quench your thirst? No, its not. Don’t even try it. It’s not worth the suffering.
