How to have a good performance

How to prep for a performance?

To prep for a performance, you should practice before. You want to know what you are doing before you take the stage for a performance. Being unprepared makes your performance look bad. You should also know your surroundings and know where you are. Make sure you get a good night of sleep the night before your performance. You want to have the energy to engage the audience. You want to make sure you look good and have everything ready and prepared for the performance. Never show up and not know what you want to wear. Do not get nervous before a performance because it will show, a lot. When you are on stage, the audience can tell whether you are nervous or not.  Most importantly, you want to warm up before singing and drink plenty of water so your voice does not crack on stage during your performance.

How do you have a successful performance?

When being a singer, your biggest goal is to please the audience and have a good performance. You do not want the audience to leave unpleased or unhappy. While performing, you should try to let the audience in and participate. You could always invite them in to sing the chorus of a popular song. You should try to create a relationship with your audience as well. Make eye contact with them and chat between songs. Do not sing right after. You should let the auidence know you are confident. Do not walk out on the stage and be shakey and not know what you are doing. Show that you are confident and ready to perform for the audience. When singing, you want to have good voice projection, body movement and facial expression. You do not want to be an awkward performer and you do not want your performance to be boring. When you are performing, be exciting and energetic.

How do you end a performance?

To end a performance, you should thank your audience for showing up and supporting you. You should also let them know that you are grateful for all of your fans out there. Make sure they leave your performance happy. You should never just leave the stage, make sure you have an ending speech prepared in your head. If it is more of a formal performance, you could always bow at the end.
