Adele grew up in Tottenham, North London. Her full name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins. Adele began singing at the age of four. Her biggest inspiration at the time was the Spice Girls, she would have little concerts for her family and friends impersonating the Spice Girls. Her and her family at the age of eleven moved to Brighton were a record label ask the teenage Adele to sing a cover after hearing her amazing voice she then realized her calling as a musician. In September 2006, Adele was signed by XL. Now Adele is known as one of the UK’s best selling singers.

It is one of the first albums to to sell more than 5 million copies in a calendar year since her last album “21”. The inspiration behind the 25 album is Adele getting to know who she has become. Her new album is about making up with herself. Making up for lost time and making up for everything she ever did and the things she never did. 25 was a major turning point in Adele’s life, the time to get to know who she has really become. The theme in the “25” album is self-acceptance. Letting go of the past and focusing more on who you have truly become.
The album style is pop. The song “Hello”by Adele is about wanting to reconnect with the people from her past and reconnecting with herself. Trying to move on from everything that has happened and making up for the mistakes she has made. The song “When We Were Young” is about being older and looking back at your past when you were younger and thinking about everything that has happened, almost as though the past did not happen. Enjoying everything that is going on around you getting lost in the moment feeling like you are young again. The song “Sending My Love (To Your New Lover)” is about a break up, and realizing that she wants to live and not just survive. Her relationship is about living in a bad place and just trying to survive. In the end Adele wants to live and move on. This album is about trying to find herself and making up for what has happened in her past. We can not change the past so we have to move on and makeup for everything.
