There are many amazing singers out there today, including my favorite: Adele. She has an amazing background story that I can sort of relate to. She has definitely inspired me in a way I still use today. Adele had a rough upbringing, just like me. Adele’s father left her at age 4 but remained in contact with her until the age of 10. My dad never left me, but we are not as close as we used to be when I was younger. He financially does not help my mom out anymore and I only talk to him maybe once every two months. Adele grew closer with her mom, which I did as well. Adele inspired me because after all she went through she still managed to be a succeeding young lady. She was not considered to be small but still had the confidence and did not let it wear her down. She liked the way she was and did not want to change anything. She had a lot of potential to become who she is and she gives me the motivation on days that are harder than others.
As stated above, Adele has a big background story with her father leaving her. She was born on May 5, 1988. She was born in North London, England. Her mother, Penny Adkins, was only 18 at the time of the birth. Her father, Mark Evans, was a Welsh father and her mother was an ‘artsy mom’. Her father had alcohol problems which caused his and Adele’s relationship to deteriorate. After this she grew closer to her mom who encouraged her to try new things. At an early age, Adele had a passion for music that kept growing. She was enrolled in BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. At school she created a three-track demo for a classroom project which was posted on her MySpace page. XL Recordings contacted her after hearing her track and she signed with them in November 2006 for a record deal. Her first Album, 19, brought Adele to fame. During the Grammy Awards in 2009, Adele took home the Best New Artist award. Her follow up album, 21, did not disappoint anyone either. During the 2012 Grammy awards she took home six awards. Her third Album, 25, was released in November 2015 which was very successful. Adele now has a child of her own and was very excited to become a mother. With such a rough upbringing, she still managed to be the best that she could be. This inspires me and makes me want to push myself to become what I want to be and to never give up through rough times.
