High School’s Secret

There’s a secret to every high school here in America and before you go looking for secret doors to unknown back room somewhere just don’t do it. No instead allow yourself the experience of what is taking place around you in your community. If you just let everything happen and flow naturally around you like water running down the rocks, you’ll see that everything is building up to the moment. The moment where we all realize what we’re doing and how it affects our lives in the here and now. How that test you took in science class sophomore year has helped push you to want to get a degree in bio-mechanics. How that time you baby sat your neighbors kids taught you that you really like taking care of children and now you want to become a teacher.
High school’s secret is the discovery it offers of who we are as individuals over time. We’re not all in on the secret at first, we think its got to be something awesome though so we have to find out. We grow up, go through the motions of life and high school. Some of us might start thinking that this secret might not really even be there and we’re just chasing after nothing like little kids chasing the tooth fairy. We can’t see the deeper meaning of what is happening and that’s okay because we’re not supposed to see it until we’re older anyway. When we do see it we understand why we haven’t before and the significance hopefully of what it means. To myself when I understood everything that has happened in the last 4 years hold great value in shaping who I am today even when I did not see it myself. High school holds it’s own secret that we all must hopefully discover someday, but life and the real world hold a whole new set of secrets and they’re all just out there waiting to be discovered.
