One Monkey, Two Monkey, Broken Nose Monkey

A mistake and day I will never forget is when I broke my nose off my little brother’s head. You may ask why I remember this experience so well it is because I can not breath out of one side of my nose at all because of our silly mistake. It also led to a very horrible attempt at fixing my nose since my dad thought he could do it. Little did I know jumping on the bed may be fun at the moment but, I had soon come to regret it and did not realize that I would have a messed up nose for life.

Late at night my dad wanted us to go to bed but my brothers and I had different plans. We decided to jump on his bed. When both my brothers Chase and Stone were on the bed I decided to jump on with them. I went to the wall furthest away from the door. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me and leaped onto the bed to see my little brother Chase laying on the bed. He screamed and so did I as I fell onto him and smashed my nose off of his head. I fell onto the ground in agonizing pain. To this day it is probably the worst pain I have ever felt. Then that’s when I looked up and saw my dad looking down at me while I was sprawled out on the ground.

That’s when my dad broke the news to me that my nose was crooked and that he could fix it. He leaned down and cracked it back into place. I heard the loudest popping sound I have ever heard in my life and just felt more pain. He then gave me a bag of ice and told me not to jump on the bed anymore. From then on I have stayed away from ever jumping onto a bed or do anything that involves me messing around with my brother Chase.

I really like the detail in this article. It really teaches you not to mess around on a bed. I can relate because I broke the door handle to our bathroom because i was trying to beat my brother and he locked himself in the bathroom.

I really enjoy how you describe your experience as it was comical from my point of view and had a very clever title. It was even more funny when your dad said he could fix it and was so nonchalant. Would it have been better if you went to a professional? A little fun was your downfall here and maybe a lesson learned? Also I hope your brothers did not suffer as many injuries or as bad as you did in this accident. Thanks for sharing.
