It all started when I bought a big pack of Hubba Bubba gum. It was summer of 6th grade year and I went to Mardens and they had packs of gum on sale so I bought one. Let’s just say I was pretty excited, I had never tried this gum before and I was happy to have it all to my self.
After I bought the gum I went home. On the way home I popped a big ole piece of it in my mouth, once I got home it went all downhill from there.
When I got home I went outback of my house to a tree that I always climb, I climbed about half way up and just sat there chewing away at my gum.
As I sat there I got the dumb idea to stretch it out as much as I could and let it hang down and see how long it was.
Then it was about to touch some dirt I left on the tree and i didn’t want it to. So I decided to swing my head up and in a circle to get it to come back up and it got all wrapped around my head. It got all stuck in my hair and everything and I started to freak out and almost fell out of the tree. I wasn’t worried about getting it out of my hair. I was more worried about what my mom was gonna say because I knew that she was gonna have a cow when she saw me.
So then I climbed out of the tree and ran inside and my mom saw me and nearly killed me . So we went into the bathroom and she tried to get it all undone out of my hair and I was freaking out. So she stopped because I wouldn’t stop moving. So she called my uncle over and he ended up giving me a military buzz cut. I was so relieved when it was all over. I had to deal with the buzz cut for like 6 weeks but luckily it was in the summer so nobody really saw me .
In conclusion that was about the time I got gum stuck in my hair in summer of sixth grade. This taught me that fooling around with gum is not such a good idea and it made me keep my gum in my mouth from there on out.
