The Earth Is Cruel To Us Humans

Sometimes the earth is cruel. The earth will throw tornadoes, wildfires, hurricanes, thunderstorms, tsunamis, snow storms, and ice storms at us humans. We all prepare ourselves for the worst, take shelter, and do everything we can to protect the people that we love. Like this past September when we had Hurricane Irma and Maria hit Puerto Rico and leave them with nothing. The earth was being cruel.
After those two hurricanes had hit there small little country they were left with nothing. There are 3.4 million people that live in Puerto Rico and all of those peoples lives have been affected. They have no power, there houses had been destroyed, and they have no water to drink or bathe in. They only had each other to rely on. The earth was very cruel to them to throw not one but two hurricanes at them barely even two weeks apart. It left people in terrible devestation. Just like what Pitt’s say ” We dig ourselves out”. They are still digging themselves out today because of how much devestation they had. This hurricane had cut of entire towns from each other. Most of the roads were closed so people could not see all of the devestation from ground so they had to go into the air to see how bad it really was. What they saw was trees stripped of green and not one power line still standing. There was debris everywhere. More than 120 people were living in the high schools classrooms. Sometimes the earth does more than one cruel thing at a time. Also well this was going on the west side of the US was in flames from a wildfire. The theme that Pitt used was devestation, I got devestation from it because when your are reading you can picture what everything looks like and how all those people dying is sad.
Sometimes the earth is cruel. In this case it was very cruel and those people did not really deserve it but there is nothing that we can do to stop the earth from being cruel. This will change Puerto Rico forever. When I had first heard about this happening to Puerto Rico I was shocked. I knew that we had it really bad but I did not know that it could have caused so much damage to those small islands. I had a lot of questions because I was just shocked because what are they suppose to do now that everything is destroyed? Where are they suppose to live? What are they going to eat? I just did not know something like that could happen so fast.Sometimes I think that when a lot of bad things are happening at once and unusual things that do not normally happen, I think that earth is trying to tell us something. Maybe telling us to stop being so cruel to it.

You did a great job explaining and showing how many different ways the world throws odd curves at people and make it hard for the people to push through. You did really good on this post.
