Don’t be scared to ask questions!

Is there such thing as a stupid question? In my days I have asked a lot of questions being curious about things and looking back at it boy some of them were strange and odd and they probably shouldn’t have been asked. Even some questions I was wondering man should I ask that?  I’ll show you guys some funny questions I have asked in the past!

One day I was outside with my mom and was before a dance and I asked her, ” hey mom how do you slow dance?” Remind you this was freshman year so we didn’t really know what to expect. This question was you know odd to ask you mom but I really didn’t know how to haha. It was kind of embarrassing but at the end of the day I knew how to slow dance. If I wouldn’t have asked that question I would have been clueless and not know what to do but because I asked it I knew what to do. When I was in the 6th grade I was in Mrs. Collins class and I had to go to the bathroom so bad but she was doing a lesson and she was mad because so many people have left that class already and she said no one else could leave. I was thinking to myself oh no I have to go so bad and we are in the middle of class and I know that if I ask she is gonna be mad and say no. I raised my hand and asked and she said” are you serious after I just said no one else your asking to go?” I said it was an emergency and I had to go so bad but i was scared to ask. She let me go thank god! That would have been and if I had to hold it in for the next 30 minutes! I don’t think I would have made it. Could you imagine that if I didn’t… wow that would have been a good way to start a new school! haha Glad I asked that’s all i’m gonna say for that one!  

Math is very confusing to me and especially geometry! But one day we were starting to learn something new and everyone was like “ohh yeah that’s easy” and I just went along with it cause we were doing it as a class but then he said ok now let’s try some on our own. The first thing that came to my head was well I don’t know how to do this should I ask him? But everyone just said including me said ohh this is easy! So I lied to him and said I knew how to do it when really I had no idea what was going on, but I didn’t want to be the one and only kid that didn’t know what to do on this paper. So I thought about it and I went up to the table and asked him if he could help me on the bored. He said yes of course but everyone looked up and said i’m kinda stuck too. It was a relief that it wasn’t just me even though it was the most of the class. If I wouldn’t have asked that question I would have fallen behind in math and I wouldn’t have even learned the basics to solve that type of equation, meaning I wouldn’t know how to do anything beyond this point! That would have been really bad. It was a relief that I wasn’t the only one cause I bet someone would have laughed and said how do you not know how to do this but good thing that wasn’t the case!

The last question I was scared to ask was another in class question but this time it was for English. It was about the play Hamlet, we were talking about one of his soliloquies and I had no idea in heck what he was talking about and what it meant. Like before I hesitated to ask but this time I didn’t ask. At the time I figured I could just look it up so I wasn’t to worried but I couldn’t find anything when I looked it up. I knew that I made a mistake by not asking, it would have made it way easier on me if I knew what we were learning about. Due to me not asking I fell behind a little bit and I had to stay after and have it described to me but if I would have just asked in the first place then I wouldn’t have fallen behind and had to stay after school. If you have a question or don’t know what you are doing make sure you ask so because it bites you in the butt if you don’t!
