Serious laughter

Everyone laughs at jokes or stupid things. Some people find “knock knock jokes” amusing. Others find certain things funny that some people don’t. Laughing is a good way to pass time when things are boring or you’re going through hard times. For example you might joke when at work because time is going by so slowly.
One day at work I was super tired and I just cut three pounds of Cooper sharp cheese. Cooper sharp cheese requires papers between each slice so they don’t stick. For me cutting Cooper cheese is annoying and takes so long. It doesn’t help that I’m the new guy at work. I also had all kinds of stuff (black forest ham, maple brown sugar ham, cooper sharp, buffalo chicken pasta, and ect.) out because so many people wanted to get their cheeses and meats at the same time. Then the last guy in line shows up and yells at me, “I want ham!” I was so confused and didn’t know what to get so I ask, “Would you like honey ham or maybe a smoked ham.” He replied to me with, “I don’t know, I just want ham!” Still confused I went into the display case and took out the most basic ham I could think of and asked him if he wanted that ham. The guy was so angry because I didn’t know what he wanted. He said sure to that ham and then asked for it to be on the thicker size. Normally we cut things on the 17 setting, but for this guy I cut it on 22. I showed him the first slice and he said it was good enough and he wanted 1 pound of this ham. I placed about 9 slices and it was at 1.06 pounds. The guy told me that he was ok with it being over so I packaged it. After I packaged the ham and gave it to him I waited for him to walk off and then I asked what do we normally do when they just ask for ham and don’t tell us what kind. The person who was working nearby told me that they really don’t know what to do either besides just pull out common hams (wild flower, hatfield, and etc.) and have them pick out one. There was also a moment when the rock band performed two songs at the middle school for a talent show. Well we tuned our guitars to an out of tune piano. So the first song was a little off, but all of the instruments were in the same tuning so it worked out for that song. We were also showing a lot of energy when performing so it entertained the people enough to make them not realize, but then the second song came and we needed to tune the guitars down to a certain tuning. I was used to turning my nob one way to tune the guitar down and forgot that my new guitar got it’s new strings put on wrong so I was accidentally tuning the wrong way. I played the string I tuned and everyone thought it sounded right. Well when playing the song I can tell you that the string I tuned was not in drop d tuning, but was in what I’m going to call raised f. So the audience obviously could tell something was up because they weren’t has happy as they were with the other song. We tried to act like everything was fine. They of course cheered afterwards. So I asked one of the teachers that helped us with our songs if something seemed off. He told me that we didn’t look like we felt ok with how the song sounded. Because we didn’t look excited the audience realized something was up, but it sounded great. He then asked me after that if one of us was in the wrong tuning and I told him that it might of been me accidentally in raised f.
This stories relates to laughter because in the moment of the action going on it isn’t funny, but when everything settles and you randomly just say you want ham near someone who was there or heard the story they would laugh and understand the joke. Maybe that’s why some people laugh at things I don’t laugh at. It’s because it’s as simple as being an inside joke I don’t know about.
