The best solo’s of my life

My junior year of high school I was able to take a piano class with Mr. P and learn how to play the piano like I always wanted to. The next year I was all about the piano and learning how to play songs on it that I liked, but shortly after that, it inspired me to want to learn how to play the Cello. The second, I saw a group on youtube called 2cellos I knew I wanted to learn. In my eyes, I knew I was going to make my dad happy, once I was able to get down how to play it would be easier learning from that point on. But here let’s go back to the beginning, I have always been into music since I was little, the way I look at music all started when I was 3 going around singing with my grandmother at churches that she traveled to (at least in the state). My grandmother was like the Aretha Franklin of gospel music, she inspired me, I thought from that point on I was going to make a career out of music, but I got older and realized that it was a low likely hood that I would be able to do it. Back to the beginning, I grew up listening to music of all genres mostly rock like AC/DC, Metallica, Mudvayne, Motorhead, etc. That was all from my dad, but when it came down to my mom it was all pop music from when she was a teenager and from the early 2000s like Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, N Sync, etc. I got into the banjo when I was around the age of twelve and imagined I would be as great at it as my dad was. My dad was able to keep pushing me to be like the band Motorhead, AC/DC, Megadeath, etc. At that time I was also into guitar slowly trying to learn how to play that, then the drums came along but I had thought to myself that I should chuck it and learn slowly with each instrument. Around the age of 16, I would constantly hear music from like the 60’s down to maybe the ’20s into the ’30s. I thought myself as the greatest String Bean one day, but what would I do when I hit that spot? Yes, I would have a higher likely hood that I would become more easily famous with a banjo because there are fewer people wanting to play banjo and becoming famous. Music was my way to get away and go to my happy place when everything around was negatively affecting me. I thought I could be something more than just me with music, I wanted to be more able to be handy with an instrument and have the ability to play with other kids. Last year I took Rock ensemble which is just a band basically, in that class we had lots of fun just playing with what we got and to see how much further we could go with songs. Some worked out but some did not. In Rock Band, I played the piano with another student from that point on I tried what I could to get better and better at the piano. Constantly watching video’s of other people, watching just their hands learning that way or watching video’s from an app called synthesis which has the piano keys played across the screen teaching you a little bit better than just watching someone’s hands. At the age of 12, I knew that from my grandmother I would do anything to keep music in my life because she is the one that inspired me to continue even if it’s just on the side.

I’m glad to hear that you were able to find such a joy in music. I often wonder where I would be without my love of helping people but we all have that one thing that helps us bond with someone else. For it seems to be music. I always say its great when you see someone find the thing that will help them be a better them.

I knew you were into music such as chorus but I never knew you played an instrument that is so cool! I wish that I was able to learn to play an instrument and was able to do more music than I do today. I think it was always a lack of confidence in me to stand on stage and play. I had also always wanted to play the piano just never took it up knowing my parents wouldn’t approve. I was always scared that they wouldn’t and i envy people that can play instruments. Now knowing that you do I envy you more than before. I liked the wording you used. I suggest next time to attempt at formatting your writing to make it more separated into paragraphs by subjects you talk about. Otherwise Great work!!
