The shapes, colors, and symbols on my flag that correspond to aspects of my life all represent me as a person. Many of the shapes and colors overlap with different ideas that correspond to parts of my life. The first thing we can look at is the color. Pink and baby blue are not usual flag colors because I am not making a usual flag. They are unique and different and have a level of subtlety that requires a second glance. They also resemble the common colors of cotton candy, a sweet treat that kids enjoy along with myself. The last symbol found among the colors is the resemblance of a beautiful “cotton candy” sunset which emphasizes the closing out of my high school career. The shapes follow a similar pattern, separate symbols that come together to form other symbols. The stripes are pointed diagonally because it is finding a middle ground between the height of vertical and the length of horizontal. The lines also represent a never-ending path that can take anyone somewhere great. My sports are also represented in my flag being seen as the circles, the lines, and the circles in lines together representing soccer, ski and snowboard season, and lacrosse respectively. Finally, the flag as a whole symbolizes hard work and creative vision. When it is seen it should inspire you and make you want to work hard.
