It was the day after break when I walked back into the highschool at about 7:20 in the morning and made my way up to the senior wing of the school. A very cold and windy day, just like a normal winter day in Maine. I came up and sat down next to a few of my friends while I waited for the bell to ring to go to first period. I was listening to Jt tell Colby and Cameron about how he totaled his car and that he was going to have to get a new car now, when Cameron asked the question “Can you still drive it” we all just looked at him and wondered what his thought process with that question was. It was a question he probably should have thought about first before he asked it, because it was a stupid question. After Cam asked the question everybody laughed about it and asked him what he was thinking because what Jt said was already obvious enough for Cam to be able to answer that question on his own. Rather than asking it and sorta making a fool out of himself, this was not the brightest question he could have asked.
Now the question definitely did not need to be asked but it was and the few of us there found it pretty funny that he actually was being serious about this. Cam realized that the question was a pretty stupid question and eventually laughed about it but it took him awhile to understand why it was a stupid question. That’s what made it even funnier for us. If he never asked this question it could have been a lot less embarrassing for Cam but not as funny for us, it made for a pretty decent morning to start the first day back from winter break. Without him asking this question it would have ended up being just a normal conversation about his car being totaled. What if he just decided not to ask the question though, there wouldn’t have been as much humor on this early morning, and it gave all of us a good laugh for the beginning of the day. Stupid questions really do create some humor and are always a good thing to laugh about.
Asking stupid questions is just one of those things that im sure almost everybody does, there isn’t usually a way around it, it just always happens at some point. But without them would it even be the same, stupid questions make the days go by and make the days more funny overall. Without having people ask stupid questions like what I talked about there for sure would not be as much humor as there is nowadays. Everybody asks stupid questions every single day and you might not even notice it half the time. Cameron has always been the person who will just ask any type of question and not even care or notice what he is asking, he will just say the question that is on his mind even when it is a stupid question and people laugh at it.
Stupid Questions are always asked and without them the world wouldn’t be as funny as it was for some times. What if people never asked them? we wouldn’t have as much to laugh about on a day to day basis. Without having a Cameron around who would I rely on to ask all of the questions that I would never ask, because I try to avoid asking questions that I feel will sound stupid once I say it out loud. Usually when there is something that I want to ask but I feel like it may be a stupid question to ask I get nervous and avoid it. Such as in basketball practice every now and then I want to ask about a play but I do not want it to seem like I wasn’t paying attention and come off as rude. Also, it is the same in school I have questions but don’t want to ask something the teacher already may have gone over once or twice because I wouldn’t want to come off as rude, I just have to think about it first and make sure it really won’t be a good question. But when I think about my everyday life, I realize that asking a few stupid questions or hearing others ask a stupid question really keeps my day moving forward and gives everybody a good laugh. So now that I think about it, what would we do without asking stupid questions?

I think you did a good job at explaining why the question was so ridiculous and funny. It was pretty obvious why everyone else understood that the car wasn’t working anymore, but he for some reason didn’t understand. You also did a good job at explaining how once he did realise how silly the question was, everyone got a good laugh out of it. Sometimes people just blurt their thoughts and then have to suffer the consiquences after and it seems like he does that often.
