My Flag

This avatar is made by FDoVale22, it is made up of 5 elements that mean something to him. The first element is a fish, which represents fishing, an activity he enjoys. Another element is water, which represents the oceans in Brazil. My favorite element he chose is sand, which represents the beaches in Brazil. The element of white represents his favorite sport, soccer. The last but not least is the color yellow which represents the sunny days in Brazil. With all the elements put together the avatar is a plain white background, big bright yellow in the top left corner, sand on the bottom half with blue ocean water flowing over it and finally 3 small fish placed in the water. All of this creativity, thought and representation squeezed in a small square.

I feel that this flag has lots of similarities to mine. For example, the fish represents fishing on his avatar which shows that he enjoys being outdoors and the tree on my avatar stands for nature and being outdoors and hiking. Another example is the representation of the beaches in Brazil. FDoVale22 says, “I love the beach, it reminds me of my home city. I would go to the beach with my friends a lot at home.” This is similar to an element on my avatar. The color red on my avatar represents the brand Honda which I love and like him going to the beach almost every day. I use Honda products every day, my car and motorcycle are Hondas. This element is also similar to his because he said the beach reminds him of home and for me my family has always owned Honda products even when we raced motocross, so it reminds me of home and my family.

Although there are some similarities these avatars are also very different. For example the element white represents soccer, a sport he has grown up playing. FDoVale22 says, “I like soccer and have always played in Brazil. I am not super great at it but I still like to play for fun,” This shows he likes soccer enough to put it on his flag and it is always going to be a part of him. I also play sports but I decided to keep them off my flag to keep it simple but congratulations to FDoVale22 for finding a way to fit it in.

The avatar FDoVale22 has made is very well thought out and meaningful while also staying very simple and pleasing to look at. It might not follow all the steps of flag making but it wouldn’t be nearly as pretty without a little creativity. I like FDoVale22’s flag and I believe he does too. FDoVale22 says, “I like my flag and I am happy with what it represents.” I think it is a very well thought out flag with a beautiful design.
