No Cop,No Stop

We all make mistakes in our lives, some are more significant than others but what matters is that we learn from our mistakes. Bob grew up very privileged and never took rules very seriously. When he wanted something it was not long before he got it. He was nice to people, but he knew how to get what he wanted. When he was nine he would steal his grandmother’s four wheeler at night and drive all over town. He would speed and never get caught. When Bob was fifteen he got his permit. He doesn’t know how he got it because every time he would drive with his instructor he would speed. He would drive so reckless that the only time he didn’t break the law driving was when he went for his license. Again to Bob’s surprise he got his license on his first try.

One morning Bob had slept through his alarm and was running late for school. He rushed out of his house and was on his way to first period. He was driving as fast as he could, not caring about other drivers and not caring if he crashed the car his parents bought him. When Bob reached the stop sign at the end of his road he slowed down ever so slightly, but did not stop. He looked at the clock on his dash board and it looked like he might make it on time. Right as he was starting to feel like he got away with something red and blue lights flashed in his rear view mirror.

Bob was never really afraid of cops, he never had to be. Bob always knew just what to say and just how to say it. When Bob realized that the car he pulled out in front of was a police cruiser he started think of what he could say to get out of a ticket. The officer goes up to the window and asks for Bob’s license and registration. Right as Bob starts making and excuse as to why he broke the law a car on the opposite lane gets run off the road by another car. It ended up being a hit and run because the person that ran them off never stopped. The cop left to go help the person and let Bob off with a warning. He headed to school but Bob was still terrified from getting pulled over. He didn’t end up in trouble that time but he definitely learned his lesson. Bob never got pulled over again.
