Staying up to watch the sunrise, is a beautiful sight but the after math of getting no sleep is not. During last year a couple of close friends decided to watch the sunrise together they had a blast with late night car rides and a lot of caffeine to keep them up. This all sounds like fun which it was but to do it the night before a three day conference was not fun. I do not think any of them would take it back though the day dragged after not sleeping but it was a joy ride for the books. We were out till at least two in the morning which was past our curfew then so we figured why not just stay up and watch the sunrise.
In reality the idea to watch the sunrise is great but it was the pulling an all nighter that really hurt us. The night was young when we all got together we were grinding out overdue schoolwork and preparing yourselves for the next day, of sitting remotely, watching a conference that we all loved going too through a laptop screen. As a group we had enough of schoolwork and decided to go for a drive because I mean what else is there to do in Sabattus after nine o’clock at night. So off we went gallivanting though town to town getting the vibe of summer back which was so close to our reach then. So after at least forty minutes in one car we went back and switched to the next car which brought to us the idea of staying up and pulling an all nighter.
We stayed up and drove to Brunswick to go on some sketchy rope bridge to watch the sunrise. As we got there we saw how pretty the view was the colors were so mesmerizing, the reds, blues, and the yellows all mixed and made a wonderful view. After watching the view for like fifteen minutes we decided to leave and get rushes from Aroma Joe’s. The rushes unfortunately did nothing and actually caused all of us to get sick, because we had caffeine on empty stomachs so I puked and another person did too. I was a terrible conference we all ended up sleeping through just about all of it.
So with all of that being said we had a good time for most of the night but never ever again will I pull an all nighter the night of some huge event I think that all of us learned a lesson from this night to never pull all nighters again. We all changed from that night with a lesson learned of never staying up too late when you know you have a long next day. We all felt horrible and slept throughout the whole conference, but with mistakes being made lessons are learned and “never again’s” are said. All and all I would not have changed a thing in how that night went.
