Call or Text?

Call or text? There are so many differences in why someone would want to call rather than text. And so many differences on why someone would text rather than call can be many different things, whether you are at work, school, or just going through your everyday life.I myself prefer to call someone rather than text because I feel it is much easier to have a conversation that way with someone, for example when I want to talk to my boyfriend we would both much rather call than text even if it is just a quick question about something, most of the time when we call it is just to talk, sometimes about our day and ect. The main reason why I would rather call than text is because I do not like to be on my phone all the time so calling gives me that “freedom” from being on my phone all the time.There can be many reasons why someone may not want to make a phone call while in around others and would rather text for privacy. For example when I worked at Subway and my coworker would always be calling he boyfriend and talking about her bills, her kid’s grades and if her kid was sick, etc. That is when I wish she would have just texted her boyfriend instead of calling because my coworkers and customers did not need to hear all of what she was saying. If I need to get a hold of someone during school hours I am not going to just pick up the phone in the middle of class and call, I am going to text them what I need to ask, and if someone was to be at work, sometimes your boss will let you step off to the side to make a phone call but so it does not interrupt your work you may just send a quick text message to someone and call them later. Why people would rather call than text could be for many different reasons. People will need to have a formal phone call with a boss or colleague, need to call a company to make a bill payment, a friend that is a long distance away that you would like to catch up with that is why someone would have to make a phone call instead of texting. If you wanted to catch up with a friend you would most likely call rather than text because you can actually have a good conversation instead of a few worded one. Not as many people like to call though so many people nowadays would rather text than call, to them it’s much more convenient and they do not need to bother someone. I myself would much rather call than text because I am able to have a much more detailed conversation, but again not everyone is the same so they may choose something different.
