Video Games for Life

My partner Dgordon23 created a few video game symbols with a black background. Minecraft is represented with a square block he chose because he said, “it was a big part of my childhood,” and also represented is Splatoon with a blue squid. He chose this because he said, “I am obsessed with that game.” Dgordon23 also made a white mask with flames. I like the mask with flames. It grabbed my attention first. The background was all black, making it hard to tell the different things apart. It was all video games, but not from the same one

Dgordon23 made his avatar personal to his life, with video games he plays all the time for years and choosing colors to represent them, unlike me, who represented people I care for with my colors and also colors I personally like. I also represented my future job–what I want to do in the future. His was more what he likes doing now

Overall, my partner Dgordon23  was just trying to represent his video games in an easy way. I asked him if he was happy with how the finished product came out and he said “yes I am.” He confessed that he “play[s] video games for hours on end.”   He didn’t care if other people knew what it was. He was just happy with what he made.

In the end, he made what made sense to him and I made what made sense to me. Both went about it in kinda different ways but ended with very different products. His is based more on the past in his life. Mine is based more on the future of my life.
