An Introduction to Lcoburn23’s Life

Lcoburn23’s avatar is split into three even sections with the sections all being different colors. The top is blue, the middle is green and the bottom is gray. There are also music notes and hearts in between every section. The blue represents the color of water and I asked her why that was important to her and she said, “Because I love my job and I’m a lifeguard.” The green is a mix between her favorite fruit, which is watermelon, and her love for pumpkins. For the last color, the gray is representing the color of her field hockey stick. In between the colors, the music notes represent how she loves to listen to music because, “Music is my therapy.” Also the hearts represent how she loves to give love and positiveness to everyone around her.

The reason why Lcoburn23’s avatar took my attention is because it is filled with bright colors and even though she has little amounts of detail, they were all meaningful to her. When I first looked at her avatar, there were some details that I could probably guess what they meant but overall I had no idea what it was she was trying to portray through her drawing. If she hadn’t used as bright of colors, my eyes would’ve drifted right over it. I asked Lcoburn23 when she began field hockey and her response was, “I began when I was in like first grade. Ever since then my love for the sport has grown a lot and I love the relationships I have created from it and everything it has to offer.” Another detail she used a lot in her avatar is her representation of music. I asked her if she listens to music a lot and if so, then why? “I do listen to a lot of music and I love it because it can set any mood for me. Music can bring me out of any bad mood or can just be a time filler.” Asking her these questions showed me more about who she is and why she chose these specific symbols and colors for her avatar.

Lcoburn23 put a lot of thought into her avatar before creating them as did I. We both used different colors and symbols that were specific to our lives and our interests. I used red, pink blue, green and black for my colors and she used green, blue and gray. There were some similarities between ours like for example a few of our colors and a heart as a symbol in both of our avatars. I believe some of mine were more complex and had more detail while hers were more simple and easy to understand. I enjoyed asking Lcoburn23 about her avatars because it helped me to understand her and her life more.
