Social media is a new way of communicating with different cultures, regions, and people all around the world. Because of the many different platforms, almost all sorts of people can be satisfied with their functions. People can communicate with friends, family, and even strangers. Social media provides an opportunity to make new connections, as well as communicate with old ones. Because of this, using social media is a great way for us to progress as a society.
While using social media, the user can enter many different apps with many different functions. There are specific apps for each different type of function that the user could be looking for. Social media is made to be user-friendly, which creates a great opportunity for people of all ages to benefit from these apps. All of this communication leads to a strong social network for all of the users within the program.
This new style of connectivity is a great way to progress as a society. Social media has drawbacks, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. These new ways of making meaningful connections have helped our society develop as a whole. Due to all of these new connections, there has been a successful social network formed that includes millions of users worldwide. Social media offers a new way of communicating that is much easier than any we have ever had in the past.

The biggest part of aspencer23’s post that I agree with is “There are specific apps for each different type of function that the user could be looking for. Social media is made to be user-friendly, which creates a great opportunity for people of all ages to benefit from these apps”. This is something that is obvious but not always thought of. Social media is made for the users benefit, each app targeting a new, easy way to communicate.
While reading this post about social media I realized that it truly has impacted the human race and has caused us as a society to grow beyond originally intended. An aspect that was written in this post that never crossed my mind was that social media helps us form meaningful connections that have genuinely helped our society. This post mad me think deeper into the effects social media has on my life along with the millions of users across the world. I can only imagine what will come of social media as a whole in just 10 years.
My broad reaction was that I could not agree more. With every word I read, I realized how much I would have to agree. Something that was not mentioned in this post was how impact-full social media is for certain individuals, it really does change lives. If anyone wanted to do more research on this subject then it easily is accessible on social media itself or on any web browser. There are so many different aspects on social media.
Some questions I do have for this post are: What are the negative effects social media has? How impact-full is it depending on generation? I would love to hear other peoples’ perspective on where they are on the social media totem pole. Are they frequent users? Off the grid? Do you agree with this post, or why don’t you agree with why social media is life changing.
