In seventh grade in science class, I and my friend that I sat next to Kyle were doing work one day in Mrs. Lindsey’s science class. There were notes and a worksheet we were supposed to work on. I got out a snack to eat and it was pasta salad in a Tupperware container. I dropped it on the floor while it was still closed and as I dropped it Kyle walked by and booted it across the floor and it went everywhere. I don’t think this was on purpose but it happened.
There was pasta salad strewn out across the science room floor. I and Kyle couldn’t stop laughing about it. Just the sight of Tupperware opened up with pasta salad on the floor completely de-railed us from our work. The entire rest of that period not one bit of work was completed because of this event. Kyle and I laughed so hard that also derailed the rest of the class because they started laughing too, because when they saw us laugh it spread across the room like wildfire.
Mrs. Lindsay was trying to keep telling us to get back to work but I think even she knew we were both a lost cause. We were supposed to be taking notes and doing a worksheet for practice for the next quiz but that was out the window. Certain events like these that may not be funny to everyone else can be funny to some people in the right setting with the right friends.
In conclusion, this pasta salad event made us laugh harder than we had ever laughed before. It also made the class even laugh. Even though it totally stopped us for the rest of class from completing any work, it was something we both remember laughing about even years later.
