Using the phone has become the most basic thing in society because it has deeply integrated itself as an everyday item. Phones have become a handy device for a person to text someone or talk with them verbally through calls. I use my phone to text family members and call work because going to visit these places to relay messages would be time-consuming and slow to answer. Texting is a permanent solution that keeps all texts sent but a phone call does not automatically save the conversation between two people. When using a phone do not become so distracted with the person on the phone and pay attention to surroundings.
Texting is a great solution when you are unsure of if the person on the other end is busy and does not want to be interrupted at the moment. Sending a text is mostly used when calling somebody who is unavailable because they are currently busy and when in a public space. Texting has always been helpful for me during the personal and business side of life. Many prefer to call than text because face timing is the popular choice for contacting and it lets you see the face of the other person and have it feel like an actual face-to-face conversation. Texting does have its advantages, like creating group chats to keep people in the loop with different schedules and talking to somebody that needs to know something important, as well as sending texts, which are saved by each participant can be used as evidence if something bad is said. Texting does have its advantages, but it also has its disadvantages. Disadvantages to texting include the person receiving a text may not see it in time and some texts might not fully send to the participant, and texting takes longer to type than hitting dial and calling. Texting others will change in the future because the information jobs must send out are at arbitrary times so a text will always last for anyone to view them. I use my phone to text all the time as it is a better way to communicate and I expect that I am going to be texting most of all because I would move up in the workforce.
Calling somebody is great when a lot of information or long talks is needed or wanted. Starting a call with somebody is when information must be shared quickly and precisely because as someone who has experienced this telling somebody is much easier to explain than texting it. Calling somebody is a nuisance of time because I dislike the idea that I must talk with someone wasting precious energy which I do not even have much of. Many people prefer texting to calling because texting can give each person time to respond and word their sentences correctly so there is no mistake when talking back and forth between each other. Calling people does have its advantages, though like giving detailed information to others, talking with a friend for enjoyment, and getting in touch with others at a much faster pace. While having advantages, calling also hosts some disadvantages like interference with nearby noise, poor voice quality, and losing a signal mid-call if on the move. Calling people will change in the future because the usual fun and chatty phone calls will become autonomous and work-related. I believe I will call others more often than ever as I grow up because the workforce demands information to travel faster and for others to receive information fast.
