Silly Man

Some questions may be considered not very complicated they serve as a starting point for gaining intelligence. However, there are stupid questions that imply asking something seemingly obvious. Is a stupid question possible? The answer is yes. I tell this story to tell you, avoiding questions can lead to a prime lack of knowledge or failure that can bring deep sorrow to one’s soul. This can be shown by a character by the name of Elliott. I tell this story because I believe it is a great strategy when experiencing these learning opportunities. Constant exposure to questions gives the brain a taste of strengthening the mind’s learning. At this time I have had many instances when I have been too scared to ask a question. The message is to not be scared of asking stupid questions.

I have a friend who takes stupid questions to a new level and really believes in the act of stupid questions. His name is Elliott. Although I can not read his mind I am sure he is never scared to ask a question. In school when I am scared to ask a question I tend to hesitate, but still ask the question, sometimes I feel they could be rude. Lately, I have found a way to get over this fear by noticing how Elliott has mastered the act of confidence, and his work is greatly admired. For example, I was never able to do what he does even in an event such as English.

The main idea is, despite all the stupid questions, I felt afraid because I didn’t want to feel uneducated in an area where I needed help. I feel I am a smart man, who has almost graduated high school and has recently learned the importance of asking questions. My turning point was in English when I asked way too many questions. This caused the teacher to go off task. I have trained very hard to help myself process the questions he is trying to ask. Elliott is an engineer when it comes to his vehicles but when it comes to English he has the confidence to provide questions that may seem stupid. Next, I gained the confidence to ask questions that may seem stupid, Now asking scary questions is no longer a big deal. This now leads to a way for Elliott to learn faster and in his own way. This school year, When I first experienced this event in English, Elliott gave me the confidence to ask a question that I felt would be stupid to ask, I feel this way is very important for me to learn, and target my abilities through questions. This started from a conversation I overheard about a struggle that had to do with an assignment done in class. I changed when I heard this and started to gain the confidence to ask scary questions. Next Elliott figured out the assignment and finished by asking questions to understand the assignment. Now Elliott takes the time to learn through questions. many of the questions come out as funny and everyone laughs along including Elliott. Finally, I believe this to be a normal reaction to an odd question, and project these events as a learning experience. I sit next to Elliott in class and it has been a huge learning experience to be able to sit next to him. Currently, Elliott is a huge hit on America’s Got Talent.

I have learned to no longer be scared of asking questions that may seem inappropriate or out of place. I felt afraid to ask questions to avoid embarrassment. This event was a valuable learning experience for me. Elliott taught me, to never let myself get down due to stupid questions, because if you don’t ask them, you will always be stupid, So I have learned to have the confidence to ask these stupid questions. This lesson I learned by viewing others to see their confidence and take in to be less hesitant when asking questions. It is always important to ask questions that you don’t understand.
