My partner, EGosselyin24, is in my class and was my randomized partner for this activity. His avatar is a white background with a light blue horizontal stripe in the center. The light blue strip is broken in the center by a white five-sided shape, on the left side of the shape is a fishing hook and on the right is a somewhat strange symbol made up of four different lines. In the very center of the shape is a peculiar convoluted symbol.
What first grabbed my attention about this avatar was the center symbol. After a later discussion with EGosselyin24, I found out that it was the Yamaha logo. When asked on why he added this bit he said “It’s my favorite snowmobile brand.”
What these components of the avatar mean and/or represent are as follows: the blue line, EGosselyin24 said “I like hockey.” when asked what the blue line meant, and the pentagon in the center is representative of a baseball plate, when asked about why it was added EGosselyin24 said, “‘Cause of baseball, and I love baseball.”
Whilst we don’t we have very similar avatars at all, there are bits that are alike, such as a major white component, his as the background and the colour of the baseball plate, and mine with the nordic knot that sits center in my avatar. The differences are large in number, but some of them are how I used three different colours for mine and he only used two for his, and how mine is very abstract, there are no very clear and/or obvious symbols other than the nordic knot, and his has very obvious symbols.
