`I Agree with the statement that a problem is a chance for you to do your best and that the meaning of the statement is that certain problems can lead you to find opportunity even when you don’t necessarily see the end results immediately, for example, My story of an opportunity is at the end of 2019 my father had hired a guy to completely repaint his 1965 Chevrolet Impala. But as we know just a few months later the world was hit with COVID-19. The world had stopped schools went remote and people lost their jobs. Even mandates were put out that you had to get the vaccine to keep certain jobs. My father’s car left in a shop to sit as the guy needed to focus on surviving, he couldn’t drop his supply cars to paint my dad’s car. this was a huge problem for the guy because the paint job takes time and he needed to push dealership cars in the shop in order to stay afloat. it was also during COVID-19 when the guys 1 and only employee left and never told him. some time had passed and my father’s car still sat as the guy didn’t have enough time in a day to work on it in his small shop. the reason it was hard to work on was because it made a big mess and he couldn’t work on other cars. Fast forward to 2021 I was a freshman in high school, going to school for 2 days a week. It was the middle of January and I had broken my snowmobile. My father was friends with a guy that fixes snowmobiles for a living, and he had just finished rebuilding the shock absorb-er on my snowmobile. The guy was on his way to drop off my part for my snowmobile so I had met him in my driveway. When he rolled down the window, the guy that my dad hired to paint his car was in the passenger seat of the guy’s truck. Right there on the spot without and interview he decided to offer me a job as he was currently by himself and he couldn’t find the time to work on my dad’s car. Fast forward to the present day I am now a senior in high school, and I still work at the body shop. My time at the shop has benefited not only me but others as we push out more volume. During my time at the shop my car had broken one night and my boss allowed me to pull my project truck into the shop to fix it as my daily driver had broke what an opportunity! So overall problems with my dad’s car and my boss’s previous employee had benefited me and gave me an opportunity to receive a job and without that opportunity my truck wouldn’t be anywhere as near as nice as it is today. If it weren’t for the problem of COVID, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to work at a shop.
A second story of a problem that sparked opportunity, Once in a small town in Sabattus Maine there was a boy and he owned a Chevrolet Tahoe and it was his prized possession. The boy and this Tahoe went everywhere and did everything. But one day it was a lukewarm October morning and things went bad. The big bad Tahoe saw way to much Rpm and blew the motor on school road. the boy was devastated, his prized possession gone. The boy drove his dads brand new ram for a majority of the school year. but towards the end of the school year he managed to muckle hold of this very fine red Chevy truck. this truck is the nicest piece of machinery on planet Earth. The boy is so invested in this truck that it proves that the problem of his Tahoe blowing up lead him to get the opportunity to find the Truck he has now. And that is how the problem had offered an opportunity. Both of these stories support the idea that problems lead to opportunity and that not everything has to be negative. these stories both show that in the end even after some time has passed there has be a positive outlook and a chance to better the lives.
