Views on Graffiti

The big question is graffiti actually art. Well some people may say “yes” others will say “no”. I believe that graffiti is art. Most people do graffiti to show their feelings or to show their skills. In graffiti all kinds of art is brought together. They can be big letters or pictures of people or just random objects to create a picture of something. More importantly, some people will say they hate it but I believe that graffiti is a great way to show many different talents and different styles of graffiti. “Like all other artistic forms, graffiti has experienced movements or changes in style.”(Graffiti as Art). Graffiti is a great way to show different arts and how much talent people have.

I love driving in big towns and seeing all the graffiti everywhere seeing so many different designs and types of way people do with graffiti. Like the museum in contemporary in the video they are trying to change people’s view on graffiti. The museum is a great example of art they have walls painted with different graffiti showing people the art. “trying to steer younger people away from doing illegal graffiti art and possibly be more excited about having a career.”(video) The video shows many examples of how graffiti art can be a career just like other art careers. Graffiti has grown way more in the past decades. There are many famous people now Like Banksy and Bosot who imagine are in museums now.” Who would remember Monet or Picasso if they’d created their masterpieces on walls, only to have them painted over the next day.”(is graffiti art) There are many famous artists recognized for graffiti art. That made an amazing living out of graffiti art by working with private owners and making designs to attract customers or new audiences instead of doing it on the street watching famous people and learning or going into museum and showing off your art can be a great way to start a career in art.

Graffiti helps people show and express their type of life or their feelings. when I see graffiti on buildings theirs always multiple different ones sometimes overlapping others. I love to see all their different designs because they can be so different and everyone has their own little unique designs. “after years of gaining recognition by the art community, graffiti art has been shown in various galleries in New York and London”(Graffiti as Art) So many people these days are trying graffiti and are showing their talent off. Everyone had different views of graffiti just like everyone doing graffiti has different styles. Graffiti is something that my eyes go to It’s bright it’s bold it’s in your face Graffiti comes in so many different styles. That each piece is so different. I believe a lot of people like doing graffiti to show their own style through something most people wouldn’t think about or do.

I think trying to help people may not do so much on the streets but helping them get jobs in graffiti or show their talent off in other ways. “Maybe we need to start at a very basic level and find a way to encourage the creation of graffiti art on paper or canvas, rather than walls.” There are many more ways to show graffiti off than just on the streets. Most owners won’t care they just find it annoying and destructive to their property but graffiti is an amazing art talent. This is why I believe instead of painting over it again and again. More communities and people should encourage more art in museums or with owner’s permission. Where so many people have potential in a career with private homeowners or museums. I really believe that instead of getting mad about it try helping them explore more than just street walls. All of these show how much different styles and how you can make a living out of graffiti.
