A Night To Remember

There are many times where laughter is a part of my life so it is hard to pick just one time, but there is one that has stood out to me. On December 28th, 2024 I had a birthday party, my birthday is in January but we had it early so that my grandparents could celebrate with us before they left for Florida. The party was at my grandparents house and all my friends were there. We wanted to hangout after the party too and so Saryn suggest that we all go back to her house after. After the party my friends and I went back to Saryn’s house to sleepover. This was a last minute plan so none of us really knew what was planned to happen.

We got to Saryn’s house around 7:00 and went straight to her basement, because that is where we were sleeping. There were 7 of us there and so it got a little crazy and loud. We all had way too much sugar and were not tired at all. We played games and watched movies until we all got bored and settled into bed. Olivia and I were sleeping on these huge bean bags called Yogi Bos, they are extremly uncomfortable but somehow we always end up sleeping there.

Olivia and I were not tired at all and neither were the others really. The only one that was ready to go to bed was Emma. She had to get up in the morning and leave around 8:00 and so she was ready to go to bed. It was about I would say 11:00 and Olivia had an idea. About a week ago Saryn and Emma slept at Olivia’s house and Saryn and Olivia stacked stuff on Emma while she was sleeping. They said that is was funny and that that they wanted to try again. We pondered the decision until we decided that we only live once and that why not. The hard part about this time was that there was twice as many of us and so the laughter was going to be louder. We grabbed all the pillows and blankets and tables we could find in the basement and started to stack.

Emma was in a deep sleep and that’s when we started to stack, we started with a table as the base. Then started adding pillows and blankets to the top of the table. Unfortunately she was sleeping on an air mattress and so it would move every time we stacked something on it and the weight of the table started to bring one of the sides down. The side that Emma was on. Emma started to roll and we ran and hid. The whole tower started falling and then we heard the table hit the ground, we had known what just happened. Emma had rolled off the air mattress because of the deflation and she awoke.

At this point we were all hiding and she was mad. Olivia’s hiding spot was on the Yogi Bos under the blankets. We were all hiding when Olivia started fake snoring. This made every single one of us start laughing and we could not stop. Emma then knew what was happening. She warned us not to do it again and went back to bed.

After she went to bed we obviously tried again but she was not fully asleep and so it was not working and she knew right away. It was cold down there and so I telling her she should be happy that we were putting extra blankets on her. Anyway after our fun we all made a truce to not stack anything else on each other and went to bed.

The next morning we woke up and were still laughing about the night before. We had fun and I am sure that we will do it again, because why not. Now everytime we have a sleepover I try not the be the first one to fall asleep. One, so nothing gets stacked on me and two, so I don’t miss getting to stack things on other people. That is one night that I will never forget.
