Graffiti is art. Graffiti is art because graffiti takes time and shows its expression like other ways of art. There are different types of graffiti art like mural painting. Mural painting is a type of art which are big paintings that represents something or someone. Graffiti shows that it is considered art in many ways. There are meaning is graffiti that can express peoples words, feelings, thoughts, emotions, and how they speak in public. This type of art can spread out messages in the form of art. For Example, graffiti has different meanings like any other art has.
For instance graffiti is very creative. Like other art, graffiti takes time. Graffiti is art because art has different types of shapes, fonts, and colors. Graffiti has not only been recognized locally but has been recognized all over the world,” Recognition by the art world and inclusion in galleries and auctions is one way that graffiti art is legitimized as “real” art” (Graffiti as art). People notice graffiti as the walk around. Graffiti art are all over cities with each having its own meaning. As graffiti grew more popular the tools and material had changed to make the system go smoother and faster, “Graffiti has always been somewhat political, but it has come a long way from simply tagging one’s name to parodying world leaders to make a statement” (Graffiti as art). This shows how the graffiti community is growing and how it is moving along. As other art and artist are shown respect because they are not on walls, Graffiti artist are shown disrespect because their art are on walls. “After all, who would remember Monet or Picasso if they’d created their masterpieces on walls, only to have them painted over the next day?” ( Is Graffiti Art?). What if graffiti artist didn’t draw on walls? As a result graffiti is art, the colors and shape of graffiti is a way of to show how some artist have communication through-out the community and the world.
Graffiti is considered art. Graffiti is shown on walls for others to see the art. Graffiti art adds more life to the bare walls on the busy streets. This is a type of art to catch others eyes while they are outside.I understand why people see graffiti as vandalism. Graffiti is drawn all over buildings and properties and it may look ruined to them. As you try to look at the art longer and understand why it’s there, you might consider and understand why it’s there.
