A little thing turned into a big lesson!

       There was a little boy who was 10 years old and was named Gannon and was in 8th grade and he met a friend who was older than he was and name Luke, and Luke had a secret that no one really knew about which made Gannon want to be his friend even more because Gannon loved secrets and wanted to know what Luke was hiding. This “secret” was only told the boy and he got told to keep it a secret and even that he could help, but this secret wasn’t a secret, it was more of a thing that he liked to do even though it wasn’t accepted by most people because this so-called secret was stealing. Luke enjoyed stealing because he never had much growing up because he had multiple siblings who were the favorites of his parents.

         When Luke first told Gannon what his so-called secret was Gannon didn’t know what to think about it, he knew that stealing was wrong but he really wanted to be friends with Luke, so he had a choice to make and that choice was a friendship or getting in trouble. Gannon had a bad feeling about becoming Luke’s friend but he really enjoyed Luke’s company but he wasn’t a big fan of getting in trouble. A few days later Gannon had made his decision, and it was time to let Luke know that Gannon was going to be his friend and help him steal things. Luke was ecstatic to hear that Gannon was going to help him and even told Gannon that they were going to steal tomorrow morning before school started. When that morning came along Gannon met Luke by the store at the crack of dawn and broke into it.

          A few months later Gannon’s mother went through his room and found items that she had never seen before and knew for a fact that she didn’t buy them for her son and neither did her husband, so when Gannon got home his mother sat him down and asked him about the items she had found. Gannon finally after 20 minutes finally confessed that he went stealing with his new friend even though he knew it was wrong.

         In the end of this all Gannon’s mother was upset with what her son had done and decided to not punish him but instead take him and the items back to the store that they had come from and have him tell the owner that he and his friend had taken the items before the store had opened. After Gannon had confessed and returned the items to the store he had called Luke and told him what happened and that he didn’t want to be friends anymore if all Luke was going to do is have him steal. Gannon had accepted that his actions were wrong and he promised to the store owner that it wouldn’t happen ever again. A few years later and Gannon is still going strong and doesn’t miss the stealing with Luke, but every once in a while he still misses Luke by himself.
