About two months ago, the bell had just rung for school. I walk to my car with my girlfriend and put our bags in the trunk. We get into my car and start it up but then I see my friend Ausborn struggling to start his car. I heard him ask his friends for help but they said they couldn’t, they left him without any help. I then park next to him. I said I could help him. So I check my trunk to see if I have some jumper cables and sure enough I do. So then I get into my car and get as close to his car as possible without getting stuck in the snow. I then ask Ausborn to pop the hood, he says he doesn’t know how because he just got that car. I look around to see if I can find the button, I can’t so he calls his dad and his dad explains to us where it is. We find it and hit the button. We then head to the hood and all three of us try to open it but it’s frozen shut. We try for about ten minutes and then finally the hood gets unfrozen. I then hook up the jumper cables to his battery and then he tries to start it and it doesn’t work. He tries once more and it works. Then I take off the jumper cables and put them back in my trunk and then we both leave the parking lot and after that, he hasn’t had any problems since until two days ago. He called me and was confused because he forgot what to do. I then explained it to him again. It was different this time because it was Ausborn and Cam. Cam has a car and can’t seem to find the battery so I just told him to look it up because I didn’t know what to do.
So four to five months ago I was looking for a car and so I asked my uncle to help me find one. We then looked on Facebook and they have a market where you can buy anything that’s listed there or sell stuff. We looked for used cars being sold for a cheap price. We looked for weeks sharing the posts back and forth until my uncle found one that was good looking, good color, and a great brand. It was a black Honda Accord and the price was two thousand dollars. My Uncle says “It’s a steal,” but it’s a car that I couldn’t afford. So he decided to help me out and give me some money that way I could afford it. We then meet up with the seller and he shows us the condition of the car like dents, rust, and scratches. The owner then lets me test drive the car. I drive for about ten minutes until I head back to the parking lot. I like the car and so I give him the money and sign papers. The seller then gives me the keys and my uncle calls triple-A to tow it to my house. Then Christmas comes around and we have a party at my house. Everyone is getting gifts from everyone. Then my uncle then gave me a gift and I was surprised. I then open my gift there’s oil and an oil filter for my next oil change. I took some more and found an air filter as well.
The month was August and I was working for my neighbor on a Thursday. I had to leave around three-thirty because I had worked at four. My neighbors offered to bring me. I hopped in their car and we headed to my work. My neighbor then had to stop at an intersection at the settlement in Sabattus. Two seconds go by and I hear the sound of a crash and it brings me back to when I had a car accident which made my adrenaline go up. I then see the accident and so me and my neighbor get out of the car to warn and help the cars get around.
In 2016 my family had a house fire and we lost just about everything. We stayed with family and friends. We started to rebuild which took over a year. We got clothes donated to us from the community and then picked them up at the town office in Lisbon. The clothes definitely helped a lot. I then was nominated by a firefighter for the red cross and they rewarded me with a life-saving medal that I still have today.
I was about 13-14 years old when I lived in Alaska. I had to walk to school everyday in the snow and walk back home. It takes about fifteen minutes from the school. The bell had just rang me and my sisters started to walk home. Then all of a sudden this kid in my class started to have an argument right outside of his house. He pushes me to the ground so easy because I’m small and he’s super tall. I get up and push him. I then turned to see my sister kick him in his groin. We then head out and I tell my dad what happened. We then head back to the kids house and we apologize for fighting.
Last month I asked my cousin to come to my house to help me with my headlights for my car because one of them was fried. He had done them before on his car. He said yes and fifteen minutes later he then arrived at my house. We needed to get the headlights. So I did some research trying to see if I can find the right lights for my car. I found the right ones and found where they are in stores. We headed to walmart and I bought them. We then headed back to my place and then proceeded to put them in. Time passes and we are confused about what to do so I ask my dad for help. He does the rest and I get my headlights replaced.
