A Story About Patience

In order to be good at something you need patience because you are not born being good at everything. There is always someone better than you at something and that is because they have the patience to keep going and understand that with all the time and patience I will get better. Almost everything requires patience, it is a vital skill to have and understand. Nothing happens in just a blink of an eye you need to understand the pace that is right for you, it can be a day, month, or even a year.

Having a lot of patience takes time and practice, or even hard work. This is something you will have more of over time and get better at understanding. I used to never have any I wanted it done right then and there, and I would just rush threw it, but then the outcome would be sloppy and look terrible. It was not even safe the car could have caught on fire due to an electrical fire by arcing of of each other. I started to realize this, I am just making more work for myself because I would have to go back and redo it again. It was like what the heck was I thinking that was pointless, and know I am just more angry at myself for thinking that was ok.

So as I got older and starting becoming more experienced with things and constantly learning more things about how the human brain works I began to increase my patient levels. I started to really get in my head when I was frustrated. What I did to help myself with that was to tell myself to calm down and give myself time because I can’t be good at something or do something of nice quality in a day. I knew that in order to get better, I need to have the patience with myslef and put the work in. I need to find the pace for me that works and has great quality in the end. I just want to do it once and be done with it there is no need to rush. I have lot of examples of rushing and doing things over again in my life. A good example is working on my race car. I had to rewire the whole entire car, all the way from the front to the back. When I got my new wire harness I was just so excited I wanted it done, so I could fire up my car and use it as soon as possible. So what did I do I rushed through it and now it looks like a big bowl of spahgetti.

I regret every minute of that and I constantly tell myself why did I just not have the patience to do it the right way, the first time instead of having to do it all over again so I can make it look good. At the end when I fixed it and did it the right way taking my time and making sure my work was high quality the chance was drastic. It looked so much better and it was overall a lot safer to. Patience is not just important in your hobbies however. It is important in school, work, and overall your every day life. It is a crucial skill to have, that everyone seems to be forgetting is so important. If people had more patience than maybe there would not be so many fights and arguments. People would be overall more happy and not so angry with others or themselves. So in the end what I am telling you is hae patience with yourself and others around you. You will find yourself a much more mature and happy person in the long run. I speak from experience.
