With today’s technology plagiarism has become a huge issue. With the ability to plug a search into google, copy and pasting make it easy to steal work that is not your own. While plagiarism can be seen as the easy way out partaking is a mistake in the making.

Plagiarism is like a form of a record or digital footprint. While getting hired for a job the employer would look at media and perform a background check depending on the job. If an employer sees a record of plagiarism the applicant could be seen as untrustworthy and declined a job offer.

To prevent plagiarism there are steps to take order to avoid it. By citing sources you can ensure you are giving proper credit to the writer. If one needs to take information from another article to paraphrase rather than taking exact sentences. Although taking these steps to make takes extra work, in the long from it is preventing you from running into grammatical errors and getting in trouble with original writers.
