Starting college at the right time

A very heavily asked question is what age should you start saving and looking at colleges? to answer that Freshman year of high school is a really good time to start looking into colleges. That gives you enough time to start working and saving up for colleges even if you have no idea what college you want to go to you can still have a good start for money. Grade school and middle school are way too early to look at colleges because you are the ages seven to thirteen you still have to have a childhood and if a kid is being forced to look at colleges he may have to grow up faster than they want to. If parents want to start a college fund when their kids are younger that is okay but having the child try to put money into it at a very young age will not help them they need time to be a kid.

Freshman year of high school is a really really good time to start and encourage parents and teenagers to start looking at a few colleges of interest. this is a really good time because the teenager can start to choose their own classes in high school and they can decide for themselves the career path they are interested in. For example, a grade school kid can LIKE science or math and decide young they want to go into that career field, but as they get older they start to like that subject less and less. High school is when kids start to realize and embrace a specific career field and when they start to look at more specific colleges for that career field.

The opposing side could say that making kids think about college in grade school or middle school is good for them. They will say that it is good for them because it will give them a sense of what they will be getting in the future and that is understandable but if you push a kid to do something they are not interested in they might start to dislike or neglect school. That may cause them to not want to go to college at all which is not good. The opposing side might say that it also may be good for the child because they can explore many different things that they do and do not like. While that may be true again if you make a kid do something that they really do not want to do it is just going to push them away from the idea of college or even away from their parents or school for pushing college on them that early.

Having kids start at their own pace in high school will really help them narrow down what they really want to do. It would also really help them focus on what they wanted to do and help them be more committed to that career, it could also help them push harder to get the degree they want. having a kid start way to early in grade school or middle school it will push them away from the thought of college.
