Call or text? Calling used to be the only communication method that people could use. Nowadays, texting is used nearly as much as calling. There are many advantages and disadvantages of both methods. I will explain what the advantages and disadvantages are of both methods and decide which method is more effective.
You should text instead of calling because texting has many advantages over calling. For example, one text takes two seconds whereas calling can take much longer becuase there’s not always good signal. So faster communication is a good example of an advantage on why most people should lean towards texting over calling. With texting, there’s also a way better chance to get a response from someone, rather than calling and not getting a signal. Also, some people might be too busy to answer a phone call. But texting is a quick response that most people have time to do. I believe that nobody will ever go away from texting because it’s such an easy way to communicate with people compared to calling.
Calling allows people to engage into deeper conversations. Calling also makes it easier for people to make business calls and decisions. People can’t handle important business conversations by texting because there needs to be a deeper conversation. Calling is just a more professional way to communicate with people. Some older people tend to call way more often since that’s what they grew up with. Calling allows people to create stronger relationships since they’re actually talking to each other rather than sending a text message. Some texts can also be misunderstood from spelling errors. With calling, the tone of voice can be understood better to understand what the person is trying to say.
