All about Pj, through routine, lifestyle, and creativity!

I never really met my friend Pj until my junior year of high school. Of course I always knew who he was, but I never actually talked to him. It didn’t take us long to become friends, we had classes together my junior year, and managed to become friends quickly. After all, we both are joke makers, athletes, and extroverts. Other than classes in school, Pj and I are on the same lacrosse team. I was an upperclassmen, a captain, and a leader. This meant when I was on the field I had to be a role model, and make my voice heard. Pj is two years younger than me, and although I am sure he has great ideas and a good IQ about lacrosse, he didn’t talk much around the team. Pj and I became closer through lacrosse and school, so we hung out a few times after practice, and during summer vacation. Pj and I never hangout enough to really get to know each other that well though, and although he is younger to me he is very inspirational. Pj is very athletic, he is a 3 sport athlete and in only 9th grade he was a varsity player for all 3 sports. All these accomplishments showed me he was at the pinnacle of our school, and I needed to learn more.

Pj starts his morning differently than most people, he wakes up at 5:00am. He is up bright and ready to start his day off with a workout in the morning at our school weight room. Pj has a long history of being in shape and working out because just like me, he has been playing sports since he started walking. I feel it must be very hard for him to wake up everyday, considering he suffered from an ACL injury last year. Even through this injury Pj grinds, and this tenacity separates Pj from average. ¨Most days I wake up and come here to the school and workout, then I go through my day at school and stuff, then right after school I have football practice. After all this I come home and shower and do homework, then eat dinner and have family time. After that I chill by myself for about an hour, then go to bed and do it all again¨ Pj does what most people can’t, even through mental and physical anguish from his ACL injury.

Aside from being an exceptional athlete, student and friend Pj does have fun in his time off. During Summer Vacation and school breaks he spends time playing video games, and watching tv. I spent one day jumping on the Pj bridge jumping and it was a blast! Pj is a creative guy he could drop nearly anyone’s jaw with some of the stuff he comes up with. That same time I brought Pj bridge jumping, we also went fishing. Pj manages to find an old line tangled in a tree, a decent sized stick, and digs up worms in a patch of dirt and builds his own fishing pole. I couldn´t believe it when he built it and I remember thinking, ¨There’s no way he catches anything with that.¨ I was so impressed with him when he actually managed to catch a fish with it. He never failed to impress me, and he still does to this day.

Building fishing poles and catching fish with him was fun, but that was not it for Pj. Pj is growing up in a household with his mother, father, younger sister, and a couple pets. He also has another older sister, but she lives on her own. Pj lives on a nice long driveway with lots of forests and wildlife. In his free time at home, he built forts outside. Pj has lots of hobbies but he likes building forts a lot, not just little forts either he tries to build houses like forts. ¨Sort of like a house, like a building, like a box.¨ Overall, Pj is adventurous, It doesn’t matter where you put the kid. You could put him on another planet and he would just build an empire, and be having fun.

Pj is more interesting than others because of his unique personality and charisma. Although he is already likable because he’s nice, athletic and has a good work ethic. Pj also can light up a room from darkness. Sometimes in life, especially high school it gets hard, but Pj can flip anybody’s frown upside down. ¨I think having a positive mindset and trying to see things in the best way possible is my way to stay charismatic, also balancing out work time and relaxing time.¨ Pj stays interesting because he embodies many good qualities, and good habits.

Finishing up high school this year as a senior I wonder how much Pj will grow and change. He is always improving and working day in and day out. Pj will continue to shock our school and family and friends. Pj is an exemplary student and lives a maintained lifestyle, and will progress drastically through his young adulthood.
