When people are under a stressful thing they tend to want the answer right then and there but we need to have patients. If we are not patient we run the risk of getting a answer to soon and it either not being the right one or not the one that we were hoping it would be. When I turned 16 I was so excited to be able to drive but I did not want to drive my parents’ vehicles . I wanted my own. I had been looking since I was 14 for one. So I had been looking for a long time but could not find anything in my budget. But when I found this truck that was almost in my budget
I wanted to go get it. The truck was owned by one of my friends’ dad so I thought that would help me when buying it. Well It didn’t really he was firm on price and didn’t want to move down to my price range. My dad told me to keep looking and we would find something that I could buy and not have to worry about having a payment after, But at this point I wanted that truck and only that truck. I did not want to keep looking. He gave up and said it was my money and I would be the one to deal with the payment so I could do what I wanted. I talked to him and worked out a payment plan and after around 6 months it was fully mine. But there was one problem: the motor was sinking so we tried a few things to get it to stop but I had to find a new motor for it now and pay to have it put in. So now not only did i have to wait to drive it until it was paid off but now I also have to put a new motor in and pay for that. Along with the other things that were wrong with it. At this point I have had my license for almost 8 months and I still have not driven my own truck for more than 5 minitas. I found a person to put a new motor in it but they also have other jobs that are going on. Almost a full year after I bought the truck it was finally ready for me to drive it and I was so happy. I went to work in it and drove home . Then I wanted to go to the store. As I was on my way I got a warning saying that my transmission was overheating. So now not only did I have to wait almost a year just to drive it because I had to put a motor in it, but now I have to put a new transmission in it so I can drive for more than 45 minutes. But if I had just listened to my dad and waited I could have had a vehicle that I would not have waited so long to drive but also I would have had to put so much extra money into. The moral of the story is to be patient, don’t rush into things, and make sure they are the right decision before making it. Weigh your pros and cons. Be Patient .
