When asked what my perspective is on social media, I believe that social media is ruining our planet’s beauty. For many years prior, we have been able to provide our planet with absolutely stunning pieces of art, such as the Seven Wonders of the World. Before the invention of social media, people didn’t have anything to do but think about what they wanted to do with their life and make it happen. I believe that social media is ruining the world and people’s creative abilities.
Ever since social media has been created and grown over time, we have had from what I have seen a major decrease in people’s creativity, and motivation to accomplish new things that nobody thinks is possible. We have had so many amazing inventions, in the time of no socials whether it be airplanes or electricity they are all amazing. All of these inventions were created in a time when there were no distractions like social media. I believe that if social media didn’t have such a grasp on society we would have evolved a lot more as a society. People in the 1900s said that by 2020 we would have flying cars. While we do not, I feel like we would be so much closer to all of these great feats, without social media and its negative impact.
In conclusion, this post is intended to inform the general public about the struggles that our world faces now because of the sudden growth and development of social media. Our planet as a whole would largely benefit from the complete eradication of social media altogether. It would enhance our imagination and our creativity exponentially, changing our current ability to procure things we want and the ability to have a better, healthier future as a whole. It is for this reason that I believe that Social media is hurting our lives and our planet.
