Use it Right

Social Media is something that we can not ever escape in the world now. We see it every time we wear it. Social media can be a good thing but can also be a thing to set people back. When people use it the wrong way it upsets the older generation that wants to be able to see their family that lives far away.

The old style of hanging out and talking to family has disappeared now. People seem to think that because they have social media they don’t have to worry about talking to their families, they think that posting that they are with their family is enough. But they need to think about the fact that older people don’t know how to use social media. They try to use it but they just don’t understand how social media works. If you have ever tried to show an older person how to use Facebook or something like that it just confuses them. They want something that is simple to work with. If we were as old as that generation and were trying to learn how to use social media we would be lost as well so people need to think about that when they get upset at the older generation.

On the other hand, social media can be a positive thing in the way that people who live long distances can still get in contact with each other. It gives you the chance to talk to family that live very far away and show them what you are up to on a day to day basis just by posting a pic and letting them see it. If social media was not a thing we would have to worry about getting people’s phone numbers and sending them what we are up to. But now with social media we can post one pic and as long as you have the people you want on your social media then they will all be able to see what you and your family are doing in one place without worry of forgetting to send it to someone this is one other way that social media is a positive thing. If you were with some of your family and the other people wanted to see what you are up to before they would not be able to but now all one person has to do is post a pic of what they are doing and bam now the whole family can see what they are doing.

Social media can be a good thing if it is used in the right manner. When people use it the wrong way that is when it starts to upset the older generation and it also could drive families apart after a while. My standpoint on social media is that if used correctly it is one of the best things that we have in the modern world.
