Nearly everyone in the world frequently uses social media networks. Social media can be a great resource when used properly, used incorrectly it can be a dangerous place. Networks can be used for informative information, and entertainment at times. The bad part of social media is the unrealistic expectation of how great a person’s life is. The cooling things that other people have, and the very fun things it may seem they are doing. If someone has free time and they are going on a media platform scrolling and scrolling and it makes the time past and its very entertaining. Even though social media is interesting to watch and can cause consumers to feel the lack of excitement in their life comparing it to others. social media doesn’t show others when they are struggling it only shows people when they are achieving their greatness. I disagree with social media being used as a hobby, however, I do find purpose in it being used as a tool.

Younger kids even adults are comparing themselves physically and financially to others’ social media posts and wondering why their lives can’t be like that. Seeing people doing great things like buying a lot of cool cars or going on expensive trips and so much more can make you jealous and it can make you feel as though your life isn’t good enough, or that these others people have it so good. often said, “I wish my life was like that” but these people who say that don’t see the struggles that these influencers go through. it gives an unrealistic expectation for how ones life should be. Networks like Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok there are people all over the world posting their lives at their peak and it makes others hate their lives this is what I feel is wrong with social media, not everyone’s life should be perfect because nobody is. Everyone faces their challenges and social media networks do not show this.

Social media can be good if used right, using it for communication, and studying is a great way to take advantage of social media. networks like YouTube and TikTok are great for learning things, even when I am working on my car if I don’t know what I need to do, I will go right to YouTube and look it up and the solution is right in my face to help me. Reasons like this is why I think social media should still be around, there is a use for it. wrongly used I do not agree with social media, it depends on how you use it and what the purpose of social media is to you.
