I think it’s true that problems offer opportunities. When you have a problem about anything, there’s an opportunity to improve yourself by solving it. Even if it’s minor or seems inconsequential, there is still an open opportunity. It’s like when someone hits “rock bottom,” but it’s okay because that just means life can only go upwards from there. Problems always result in opportunities because your brain is always looking for a way to solve the problem.
Sometimes being put in a problem situation gives you the opportunity to do things you normally wouldn’t. Normally I wouldn’t want to swerve back and forth in the middle of the road, but one time while driving at night, I saw a deer in the road. I’d rather not total my car so I move over to the other lane to get around the deer, but since deer are stupid it starts running into the lane i’m already in. This problem created my opportunity to swerve back in my lane, avoiding the deer, and possibly a head on collision with another vehicle. You might think why didnt i use my breaks, but thats because if I did there would be no getting around the deer at all because he’s too slow. This shows how the decision making and opportunities change while in a problematic situation.

Another example of this is I have a friend who had just bought a new car. He has it for a week or two and it was perfectly fine, but then one day while leaving it parked, someone in their jeep Rubicon drives off the road and straight into the bumper of the car. Now this is a pretty big problem to have your car randomly get totaled, but the insurance opportunity it offered led to my friend getting more than double the money he put into the car. This problem led to a monetary opportunity, as well as the opportunity to make a good thing out of a bad situation.
