Homemade Pizza January 15, 2015 / How To / 0 comment / sgoulet15 INGREDIENTS 1 envelope active dry yeast 1 cup warm water 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup Prego pizza sauce 1 bag of Mozzarella cheese 2 pieces of bacon (precooked) Begin with pouring a warm cup of water into a bowl. Sprinkle the yeast on top and stir in the sugar. Let stand for 8-10 minutes. While waiting for the sugar and yeast to dissolve in the water, mix the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. (flour, salt) After both mixtures are ready, combine them into one bowl and add the olive oil. Mix the dough until it becomes stiff and able to be formed with hands. On the counter, throw out some flour to work the dough with. This helps so the sticky dough does not get on your skin. Knead the dough with the palms of your hands until it feels smooth and elastic. Extra flour may be needed if the dough becomes sticky again. After the round piece of dough is formed, place it on a cookie sheet and flatten it out. This will allow for the sauce, cheese, and bacon to lay out flat. When the dough is flattened out, put on the sauce, cheese, and whatever topping you prefer! Bacon is my favorite 🙂 Bake in the oven at 375° for 15-20 minutes or until your preferred taste. I prefer my pizza to be more on the cooked side so that is why it appears the way it is. Enjoy! Share:
