There comes a time when a family decides to get a new pet and that is usually a dog. Bringing home a new puppy is a big responsibility, but also the best companion to have by your side. A puppy is a playful little ankle biter that will get into everything and chew your shoes to bits and probably poop and pee everywhere that you don’t want it to, but it won’t stop the love that is felt for the puppy. Some of the funniest and most frustrating moments will happen when the dog is a puppy, but not necessarily the best memories. Puppy’s will keep children entertained for hours and once asleep nobody can resist a sleeping puppy face. The changes to the puppy’s growth will be dramatic from inches of loose skin to a strong adult body and from a crazy little hyper puppy to a more relaxed, calm dog. Dogs are definitely a very well rounded animal and every family isn’t complete without one.
After the puppy stage it is the prime dog age were all of the hard work and training is finally being put to good use. For most children they grow up with a dog along their side and many can say that they have found their dog to be one of their best friends. By now a connection has been made and the dog is apart of the family no matter what. Dogs become the best listeners that never talk back and sometimes the best cuddle buddies to have around. A dog will love you for its whole life and it will never hold a grudge and always give you the best, most slobbery kiss when it is needed. Suddenly the family dog doesn’t feel just like a dog, but a companion, bestfriend, and anything you need it to be because they are going to be there for you no matter what. There isn’t another house pet out there that can make you feel like a dog does, they are so smart and used for so many good things in the world how could anyone not want one?! Even though they are here for a short time they make an impact on us for the rest of our lives.
When dogs get old they become very mellow and laid back because they just can’t move how they used to. This makes us dog lovers appreciate them even more because now there are endless memories and even though the dog may not be here as long as we want them to be we hold onto them for as long as we can. Dogs make a huge impact in families because they aren’t just a dog they are a family member and the time with them is always too short. For some there is no one that understand them better than their dog and losing them can be very emotional. No pet lives forever, but they will through memory and in the families hearts. After all this time people find an unexpected best friend and it is through their dog which will always be special no matter how much time has passed.
