Wrestling… it has a lot of common misconceptions, but what people do not know is what kind of stress it has on a person. You may be on a team during practices but when you get on the mat its all you; everything you do dictates whether or not you are going to win. Its a self sport–once you get into meets and tournaments. Wrestling is great for becoming a good person because when you get out in the real world whatever you do is up to you and every mistake come back to bite you in the butt, just like in a wrestling match. Since its a sport that takes one person to do its one of the most emotional sports out there.
If you lose you can’t blame anyone else but yourself and all you can think about is what you could have done and what you didn’t do. When you lose you question how hard you really did and what if you just worked just a little bit harder. Just like in life with trying to get a raise and someone else got it and you think what could I of done to get that raise over that person what did you do wrong. If more people got past wearing a singlet they would understand how amazing wrestling is how it can make you a better person and change your life. I wish that I would have found this sport a lot sooner because who knows what I would be like right now if I had…
