So far this season, we’ve seen both great teams and not so great teams. Then we see teams right in the middle. To give you an example, the Houston Astros are one of the teams that are doing great right now. They had a 10 game win streak going before Texas batted in. That’s not to mention they’re 18-8, and obviously 1st place in the AL West. There’s reasons the Astros are doing so good. First of all, we have all-star second baseman, Jose Altuve (.360) that likes making the bat and ball meet nearly every game. Then we have Dallas Keuchel (3-0, 0.80), who had a great outing the other day, since he retired 9 straight batters their previous game. He was named American League pitcher of the month. There’s many more teams that are doing great, but the Astros are sticking out the most at this point.
There are teams that are doing really well, and then there are teams doing really bad. For example, the Milwaukee Brewers (8-18). They stand at the worst record. How could this be? It’s because they’re not collecting enough hits and the pitchers are letting too many baseballs over their shoulders. I don’t have much explanation to do for an 8-18 team. If they want to contend later this season, they must start winning games. The Brewers have already fired their manager, Ron Roenicke and President/ GM (general manager) Doug Melvin.
