Almost every literary work is political. This is because most authors write about issues that happen in life that people have opinions on, which is almost every one.

Examples from book: A Christmas Carol, Women in Love, The Masque of the Red Death, The Fall of the House of Usher, Oedipus at Colonus, Mrs. Dalloway.

Additional example: Animal Farm

  • Overall, very political and satirical.
  • Elements of ridicule of socialism/Soviet Union, corruption

This is really good as it is- but I might also mention examples of literally works that have more hidden political agendas. Animal farm is pretty straight forward- maybe consider stories where people don't think of political agendas. How does a story way out there include politics? The Wizard of Oz- at first glace- might seem like a simple quest story. But maybe it can be thought of as a girl following the "road" of a capitalist society- working her way up to the "emerald kingdom"? It's a stretch- but we know that from the chapter that literature often contains politics- so maybe it is worth a thought. (:

Also remember that politics includes more than just politlcal systems like facism in Animal Farm. I'm sure you already know that, but any story that includes human rights, or ownership issues, anything remotely political- could be considered.
